Obstetrics/Gynecology Office Nurse

Simond Center OB/GYN Outpatient office.

No weekends or holidays.

Job Description

• Works collaboratively with office staff, medical assistants, midlevel providers and physicians to facilitate patient care. Arranges referrals to ancillary services.
• Triage patient telephone calls and arrange follow up as indicated.
• Review laboratory results and consult with the provider as needed. Document and inform patient of results and treatment recommendations.
• Communicates pertinent patient information and findings to providers and patients in a timely manner.
• Prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Educate and document teaching and follow-up care with patients and families. Maintain client education materials.
• Follow up and track patients of clinical concern.
• See patients for education appointments, urinary tract infections, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections and immunization as ordered by the provider
  
  

Requirements

• Must have excellent computer and typing skills as this position is computer based.
• Knowledge of nursing process, theories, and clinical expertise related to patient care, normally acquired through the completion of a nursing training program at an NLN accredited school of nursing.
• Current registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  
  

Pay Range

$32.24 - $55.29

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
